In 5th grade, my favorite stories were those of Greek mythology. I loved all the fantastical tales of gods and goddesses dallying in the lives of mere mortals. The Roman empire was also a prominent topic in both history and literature classes. So when I went to Rome, it was exciting to see the buildings from those stories in real life. Everywhere I looked, there was an ancient Roman structure. The food was also delicious and I finally tasted real gelato.
